I am late posting my 12 in 12 challenge (I think when it comes to anything that requires computer time the word people would use to describe me is late). For the challenge I made a tie dyed, long sleeve, hemp jersey, Tee shirt for my 2 year old. The fabric I dyed about 2 years ago. I dyed it to be a wrap carrier. My girl is a bit to big to wear in a wrap anymore so I decided to use some of the fabric for this project. I used Wild Ginger to make the pattern. I added a pocket to the front and FOE around the neck. Demi wants one so I think my first project for march will be one for big sister. I have to say I am sorry for the bad pictures. It is dark and gray in Pa. I am having a hard time getting a nice picture. I will share a bunch and I hope you can get an idea what the top looks like. It is hard to get a nice picture when I am in a hurry, with bad lighting to deal with, a toddler who doesn't sit still, my blurry picture taking, the box of raisins, and the marshmallow (only way to keep her in one place for 30 seconds). I hope you can see it is a very soft, comfy, and warm knit top.
I feel bad that I didn't have time to make the wonderful knit things I had floating around in my head! I feel bad that I didn't make any boy things this month. I will try to "get it together" in March. I think by the end of March the sun will come out and that should help a lot with the picture taking.
I am running over to http://acmtel.blogspot.com/2010/02/so-its-last-day-in-feburary-sign-up-for.html so I can sign my name (late again) to say I finished my project and see what everyone else made. If you have time you should take a peek at the beautiful things the very creative Australian ladies created. March challenge is Make a softie (soft toy/stuffed doll or animal). I hope to have mine done early (I can dream). You all should run over here and sign up!
Please forgive the very rushed typing... I am way behind on my day. My little one is fussing. "Life" is as usual getting in the way of computer time. I love my life so I shouldn't complain. I hope you all understand...

I love the tie dyed fabric. The top looks fantastic - funnliy enough I had used that pattern many times. It has that great pocket which is perfect for pre schoolers who like 'collecting' - stones, twigs, pods - anything.
So cute!!! Love the colors of the fabric. Nice job!
Nice and colourful - looks great
